I Had to Reinvent Myself, But I Couldn’t Do It Alone
Shift Happens - Issue 2
There was a moment in my life when everything changed. Not slowly. Not quietly. But in a big, loud, scary way.
Maybe you’ve had one of those moments, too. A job ended. A relationship broke. A dream stopped feeling right. And suddenly, you were standing in the middle of your life wondering, “Now what?”
That’s where I found myself! Somewhere between the person I used to be and the person I wasn’t yet. I thought I had to figure it all out by myself. Be strong. Push through. Pretend I wasn’t falling apart inside. My family and friends saw me as ‘superwoman’!
But here’s what I learned the hard way: Reinvention is not meant to happen alone.
Trying to handle it all on my own only made things harder. I felt disconnected from myself, from other people, and honestly, from anything bigger than me.
That’s when I realized something had to change. Not just my outer life, but my inner support system.
I didn’t need more hustle.
I needed help.
I needed a spiritual support system.
People I could talk to without pretending. Spaces that felt safe.
Routines that grounded me when everything else felt shaky.
So, I made a plan and it changed everything.
I found a mentor who really saw me.
I joined a small group that made me feel less alone.
I picked a few spiritual habits that helped me feel like me again.
And little by little, I started to feel stronger. Not because everything was fixed, but because I stopped trying to carry it all alone.
If you're in the middle of a life change right now, this is for you. If you’re rebuilding your identity, your routine, or your sense of purpose… you don’t need to “tough it out or be superwoman.”
You need people. You need connection. You need support that fits this version of you, the one who’s becoming.
That’s why I created this week’s Spiritual Support System Worksheet + Checklist. Download here ⤵
